When in the AE-BSS (Auto Exposure Best Shot Selector) mode, the Coolpix 5400 will automatically select the image with the best relative exposure from a series of 5 consecutive shots by analyzing tonal range and gradation of each image.
•	Ultra Macro Mode Record images as close as 0.4" from the subject. Ultra Macro is supported by the exclusive Best Shot Selector (BSS) feature, which automatically chooses the sharpest of three images.
•	Vari-Angle LCD The fully-articulating LCD allows the photographer to shoot at virtually any angle and still accurately frame the image in order to get the best shot. The LCD is also optimized for easy viewing in bright sunlight.
•	Movie Record Feature The Enhanced Movie Mode can record up to 180 seconds of QuickTime video (at 15 frames per second) in Movie (320x240) Mode and 70 seconds in TV Movie (640x480) format with audio.
